Webinar: 29 June, 5pm – 5.45pm

You are invited to hear from Hon James Shaw, Minister for Climate Change, as he discusses the goals, aspirations, and practical realities for SMEs in meeting these new targets.

In May 2022, the Minister announced Aotearoa’s first Emissions Reduction Plan. The plan sets out how we will meet the first emissions budget for 2022–2025 and aims to put us on track to meet future emissions budgets. The plan also requires actions across every sector of the economy, including transport, energy and industry, building and construction, agriculture, forestry, waste and fluorinated gases.

The Climate Emergency Response Fund has been established to support this transition. It is an enduring multi-year funding mechanism with an initial $4.5 billion ‘down payment’ supported by cash proceeds from the NZ ETS. The Government have said they will ensure the transition to a low emissions economy is fair, equitable and inclusive.

Hear first-hand how the Emissions Reduction Plan will impact your business. The webinar includes a Q&A session with Minister Shaw.

The webinar is hosted by EMA and ExportNZ however you don’t need to be a member of these organisations to attend this complimentary event.
